How do we walk in the Purpose and Power of the Lordship of Yeshua, our Messiah and King? During the December‘s Esther’s Hour times we will be focusing on the Lordship of Yeshua. It is through His Lordship in and over our hearts and lives that opens the gate for Holy Spirit to bring us forth as Kings and Priests bought by the Blood of the Lamb. In John 14 and 15 the Lord make clear that it is total obedience that expresses our love of Him. Even throughout the Gospels that is made clear over and over. Let’s look at some revelatory keys that will show us what it means to walk with our Lord as submitted lovers.
Isaiah 62: 6-12 is one of the keys of obedience to His Word, which speaks about the posting of watchmen on the wall who continuously presses into His heart without stopping. That place of hearing is described in Habakkuk 2:1-3. The watchman stations themselves on the tower and watches to see what He is saying. Those submitted to His Lordship and obey this directive will hear Him and will move in that revelation as they speak forth the authoritative directives they are seeing and hearing from Him. The King Priest anointing of 1 Peter 2:5 is upon those who have allowed Holy Spirit to anoint them. Those will have access to an open door as is given in Revelation 4:1 to move upward and forward without fear into His presence to hear His directives so they can speak His will forth in earth as it is in heaven.
Verse 10 contains strategic, significant key actions in the spirit for those who have totally yielded to His Lordship as they “Go through the gates.” That phrase is given twice for emphasis, and then we are to prepare the way for the people. King priests walk in the Lordship of the Messiah through the gate or door that the Lord has placed before them. Isaiah 26:2 and 24:7-10 are other important parallel Scriptures.
The preparation of the people, individually and corporately, cannot take place until there is a walking through the gate or open door that the Lord has placed before us. Preparation means making the way of the Lord straight. This is given in Isaiah 40:3 repeated over and over in Matthew 3:3, Mark 1:3 and Luke 3:4. That means to turn, make level, straighten the road and prepare it to be travel-ready for the owner, the Prince, in this case, the Messiah. John the Baptist prepared the way for the coming One, as He preached repentance. When Messiah, Yeshua came he also sent out His disciples to prepare before His coming in Luke 9:52 declaring that the Kingdom of God has come to them.
The word, “cast up” means to mound up, to exalt, extol, make plan, raise up the highway. In other words, lift up the highway to a higher level. The word, “cast up” is given twice for emphasis. I am reminded where John was called up higher in Revelation 4:1. Part of the preparation of the people is casting up the clear truth as to what the highway or road they will be on as it is the high-road the Lord has established. Yeshua warned the way to life was a straight but narrow way and difficult for those who find it in Matthew 7:13, 14, Luke 13:24. So we are to “cast up” the highway as Yeshua did as well.
The command to take out the stones is also a part of this process. Unlike man-made brick, stones are made by the Lord. Yet in this scenario those stones were now a hindrance and needed to be gathered up and taken out of the highway.. It is the removing of what was in the past that was for that time but is now no longer what the Lord wants to do now. Isaiah 43:19&20 says: Do not remember
– Keys to walk…
the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I do a new thing. Now it springs forth, Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
The prophets have been declaring that there is a shift put aside the past and the traditions with it and lay hold of the new things are being brought forth by the Lord. So that is a mandate for us to put away the old stuff, old traditions of men that worked in times past but now He is doing something new and we are to clear away those old stones out of the highway of the Lord so that the fresh rivers will flow on that highway into wildernesses and deserts so they can bloom again.
Finally there is the lifting up of a standard or flag or a lofty pole over and for the people. It was something lifted up as a signal, rallying point, pole or ensign, i.e. a signal that could be a token to be seen afar off like a large banner set up on a high mountain. The promise in Isaiah 11:12 says that He will set up a banner for the nations… He is our Banner – Exodus 17:15, and Psalm 60:4 - displayed because of truth. In the Song of Songs His banner over us at His banqueting table is love. Banners were also used as part of military battles. But Zechariah 9:16 says that those the Lord saves “Shall be like the jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over His land. So we become His banner!
When we turn these keys and open the doors He has placed before us, we will walk in the reality of Isaiah 62:11 & 12. There are times when it is hard but the sensing of His pleasure and Presence poured out in and upon us is more than worth it.
Micah 2:12 & 13 gave another key of obedience that speaks of bringing together a flock “swarming with men (mankind in the original) so that there is a “hum with their much noise.” We not only move in the obedience of using these keys individually but also as a corporate body of believers who love and support each other as we move in unity together. It is not a quiet bunch but one that shouts and signs praises with demonstrative worship in every way because the Breaker goes up before us as we break through, pass through the gate and go out…And their King will pass on before them, the Lord at their head.
The time is now. The keys are available now. Holy Spirit gives the grace and power to move forward through the gate now. Take the step of obedience out of love for Him and go forth!!
